Installation and Fit
The Ignite XL is a hardwired, built-in fireplace designed to recess fully into a standard 2x6 wall cavity, so no separate framing depth beyond a normal interior wall is needed. Because it's hardwired rather than plug-in, have an electrician run and connect power to the unit's location as part of the rough-in, before the wall is closed. Confirm the exact rough opening for your chosen size against the installation manual before framing.
